Chikkyo Ono
June 5 – July 11
This is an exhibit of 80 works, mostly from the Kasaoka city Municipal Chikkyo Ono museum. Born in Kasaoka, Chikkyo Ono (1889 – 1979), pioneered a fuller, denser (less sparse) style of painting in Japan. It is important to note that some of his paintings are of Wakayama landscapes, as a result from his visits to our prefecture.

Pinocchio
July 18 – September 23
Prints and drawings, circa 1883, from the original Pinocchio story. This is the first time these are being exhibited outside Italy.
